Tania Kidd
Tania Kidd is an "early-retired" teacher who currently publishes a small dog breed magazine - "The MINI Magazine," and is the editor of the club newsletter for the Miniature Schnauzer Club of Southern California. She formerly published a magazine for Parson Russell Terriers called, "The Parson Chronicles."
She owns and maintains the Simply Schnauzers website which involves public services for Miniature Schnauzer owners including lists of rescue organizations and breed clubs throughout the country. Her Simply Schnauzers Discussion Forum answers questions and provides information for the breed as well. An extensive web portal for health and nutrition information is also part of the website.
As a secondary school teacher of nearly 20 years in a Southern California district with a 97% Hispanic population. There, she taught English as a Second Langauage, English Composition, Journalism, Career Preparation, Pathways Technology Lab, AVID, and more. Her yearbook staff produced two award-winning yearbooks and she was named Teacher of the Year twice at her school. She has also taught ESL at a community college, state university, and junior high school in West Africa.
Tania earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism Education and a Master of Arts in English (emphasis in TESL). In between those degrees, she squeezed in almost three years of Peace Corps volunteer service as a teacher in Togo, West Africa.
She is passionate about dogs, dog shows, digital photography, webwork, and writing, believes in the afterlife and soul-full connections.
